I posted this already by mistake in another forum, so I apologize in advance if You've seen it already..........

After much navel gazing, I've come to the realization that I wish to hire a pro to optimize and submit my site. What should I look for? After doing some summary research, I see all kinds of claims being made. Any tips that can help me sort through the rubble would be welcome. For a good job, with measureable results, what should someone expect to pay? What questions should I ask? Anything that I should watch out for?
Best Regards All!

Ask for testimonials and contact them.

Let them show you what actual achieved listings they have obtained right now.

Check their own site's rankings.

If these things turn out to be satisfactory, ask them for a qoute, but be aware of companies promising to get you that #1 spot. IMHO it is a bold statement to garantee a # 1 listing.

Personally I would prefer a performance-based solution where you only pay for actual click throughs. Never mind top rankings if nobody searches for them.

It's the traffic you want :)

my 2 cents..

Hi pmac,

In my opinion you need to approach this in the same way that any other marketing campaign is conducted.

The first task is to establish your budget.
