Hi
everyone:)

I have a couple of questions:) Hope you don't mind.

*I used keyword analyzer software and analyzed word density for a site and it listed 64.86% and 35.14% for *each* keyword in the keyword phrase.
Ex. credit fix(phrase)

*I also used a different sites software and it gave me
151 as a total and 9.27% density as a total.

Q.1. Is this for the keyword phrase used in the whole site?
Or the main index page?

Q.2. Why are the percentages so far apart? Which is correct?

Q.3.Could you explain how to read the analysis(meanings/per page or entire site?)
for word density, etc. for a particular keyword phrase.
**(I ask because it shows up as several different percentages.)

For example, i entered a keyword phrase and it gave me different percentages.

Q.4. Is this for the entire site for that one keyword or just the main index page?

Why are they giving different percentages?
>one gives 68.86% and 35.14% density and the other sites software gives a total of 9.27% as a total when i entered a particular keyword phrase.

Q.5. I want to hit the percentage between 5-20% for a keyword phrase.

Q. How do i read this in an analyzer if it lists different percentages?

Q.6. What do i look for to know i hit the percentage and is this for the page or site? Does it depend on the url and file i enter for analyzing?

Hello frenzy77. I think the reason there have been no replies to this topic has to do with the nature of the subject.

The tools I've tested over the years take into consideration different areas of the page when determining keyword density. Did you try Brett's KWD tool here...

Keyword Density Analyzer v1.3 [searchengineworld.com]

Notice that it allows you to "Include the following"?

Personally I do not use KDA tools. Many people get way too caught up in trying to nail down a perfect density. I guess I've been fortunate in that it comes naturally. ;)

Take a close look at the tools you are using and note which areas the tool is analyzing. One may be including some areas that should not be included. Another may not be including areas that should be included. It's a hit and miss sort of thing.

If you want to test the effectiveness of keyword density, run the top ten sites in your chosen industry through the same tools you are using. You'll probably see no real evidence to support a target density. Some may be less than 10%. Others may be over 50%.

Hi pageoneresults:)

Thanks for answering:)

I have tried Brett's density analyzer.

It gave me 33.33% density on a keyword phrase.

I entered:

>Include Page Title
>Include Meta tag Keywords
>Include Meta tag Description
>use stop word list
>include following word list

credit repair

Q.1. Is this density for the *specific url webpage* i enter or the density for the whole site for that keyword phrase?

It might be a dumb question, but i never used density analyzers before.

Q.2. When brett said "density 5-20%" does this include all the following for the specific page:

Including Page Title
Including Meta tag Keywords
Including Meta tag Description
url
file name
etc,

Q.3. or is it just the keyword phrase in the body of the text?

It might be a dumb question. But i want to be certain.
