How much to charge?

how much to charge for seo services?

I've been approached by a smallish website development/template company to do some SEO tasks for them; such as revise source codes, alt tags, and write an SEO "how to" manual.

I have to be honest: I've never really charged for this. I've done it for many of my own sites, and for some non-profits whom I didn't charge, and I've always given out advice to friends and family, etc. But it's all been free.

They would like to know how much per page I would want, and I have no idea how much to charge for the manual. Any advice would be appreciated. I've got about 2 years of experience doing this.

I guess it would depend how good you are...

Obviously you would likely not charge as much as someone who does it for a living, however you can try looking at their prices for a guide of the top of the range, then if you think you are half as good as them, charge half :-D

One simple answer to that question is, how much are they willing to pay? if they want to pay you a lot then charge them a lot, if they aren't willing to pay much then dont try and charge them too much and put them off of the idea.
