Does it matter?

If I use one hosting account and do multiple masked domain forwarding

I have a hosting account and am trying to get a consensus on the effects of masked forwarding domains to subdirectories...i.e. I have www.mysite.com and another site www.newsite.com except newsite.com is masked forwarded to www.mysite.com/newsite. So when people type in www.newsite.com they obviously get newsite.com in the address bar b/c it is masked.

Wow does this affect my SERPs? I make a little money of the main site low $xx.xx/day and don't want to get penalized for pointing multiple domains to this hosting account.

Is there a consensus on this? It seems I get different answers from everyone. Thanks all.

they could be penalized (if caught) only the "forwarding" domains, not the "forwarded" one.

I guess, I should have mentioned that the two sites are enitrely different. Would there still be a penalty?

It doesn't matter. If they contains any kind of forwarding command they could be penalized (or may not...)
