What other ways can I gain exposure to the content I write?

RSS, Press Releases, what else?

Just recently I finished making a brief CMS (Content Management System) and I'm devoting time each day to writing 6 new articles, each based around a target keyword. My site is fully optimized in css/xhtml and I've made sure everything is setup as smooth as possible.

1. RSS - I also have an automated RSS script setup that automatically adds to my feed.xml and after each day I ping the various RSS services.

2. Press Releases - I haven't done this yet, but I plan on slightly adjusting each article and posting them as press releases.

After that, I'm not sure what other avenues there are for me to take, as I am new to this. Any suggestions on how I can make the *most* out of my articles externally?

Thanks!

Don't spread them out too thin. Find a few quality sites to publish those articles and let it be. Others will link naturally over time.

What about an email list, do you have one of those? How about a subscriber list?

Link out naturally to other topic related sites. Don't be afraid to share the wealth.

If you communicate quite a bit via email, add something in your signature taking the visitor to your articles index or, most recent article.

Are there any Vortals (Vertical Industry Portals) where you could submit those articles?

Quality articles will always perform over time. If they are authoritative in nature, you'll have no problem obtaining exposure to the content that you write.
