what is the best way to advertise dating site

I have a dating website , it's 100 % free , I have a very nice domain name , I have all Features that it should be in a dating site , such as rating system , forums , chat rooms , private message system , comment on picture , and many more .
What is the best way to advertise this site.
I;m trying adwords , and for 150 dollars a month I'm getting about 200 members .
One more question?
I;m not allowing visitor to vote or do anything in the site , they can search , see forums . Should I allow them to vote and search in profiles and read comments . Thanks

Tough market, speaking from experience unless you have a budget approaching Udate or Match.... It's going to be tricky.

yes, tough :) But everything is tough nowadays. Old good link exchange. For dating industry it works well, coz many customers of dating sites jump from site to site filling out a bunch of profiles on a dozen sites during one night (a fact!) LOL

Have a question though: what performs better for dating: AdWords or Overture? I read that it depends on the market, so what's better specifically for dating? Where do you get more registrations? Any dating webmasters out there?

as for allowing guests to search etc..., every search is hard on system recources and is an additional load on mysql, so if you can afford it, go ahead. I don't allow guests to search though, coz I want to save my recources for registered members.

I'm using adwords , most of the people who came from google are junk who try to spam .
My friend using overeture , he;s telling me that he's getting new members for 5 bucks a day .

That's what I thought :( Do you show your ads for African countries? I used to get so much 419 scam, that I had to completely ban Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Kenya and Ivory Cost form my site.

charbello, did your ads start running immediately on AdWords or did you have to wait for approval first? If so, how long did you wait?

I banned all african continent lol
Yeah my ads in google show straight . Maybe in 10 minutes after submited .
Overture need to wait like 3 days .
