How big are SEO companies / departments?

Greetings-

From being around here a while I have come to believe that most SEO companies are 1-4 people. Is that a good number?

My numbers project that I'll have around 10-14 people in my SEO department towards the end of this year. That seems like a pretty big department to me.

Two questions...

How big is your SEO company?

How big is the largest one you know of?

Just trying to get a feel of how my department rates in the big scheme of things :)

My "SEO company" is an in-house department and consists of 4 people (inlcuding myself). However we are in charge of the whole thing, not only SEO, but also the web-technology and web-design. If need arises we can rely on a 5th person from R&D to do hardcore web-programming.
