Moving site content to another site

Hi
I have one site but had content split over 2 different domains. I am now looking to consolidate all the content onto one domain by moving the content from domain 1 to domain 2.

Does anyone have any recommendations how to move the content across from one domain to another that will have the minimum loss of traffic and whilst letting the engines know of the permanent change of address?

Remember two things:

1. Be very careful that all links point to the correct new addresses.

2. Have redirects on all pages at site 1. Those redirects will eventually teach search engines the new addresses.
