Hi,
I use to have a few hundred pages listed in all the search engines. Now they all look like there is only one page.

What could have happened? Google still has a bunch of pages listed.

- Is it possible that a competive site auto-submits my site daily to try to give me the impression of over submitting or spamming the engines?

I find it hard that mulitmillion dollar corparations would take this into effect but, in the world of IT it seems like the ones making the decisions shouldn't be there.

Just looking for any ideas on whast happened. Weirdly I have logs showing most of the major engines going though 1000's of pages daily, so they are around just not displaying the pages.

do a search on yahoo using the "site:" command to see exactly how many pages are indexed.

ie:
"site:mydomain.com" will show many pages within that domain are indexed in the search engine.

Also, if you did a website structure change recently and the paths/filenames changed, it may take awhile for the search engines to drop the old paths and put in the new paths.
