Hi,

Are landing pages that redirect to some other page 'legal' with search engines?

i remember seeing a SER from microsoft that was doing just that so it can't be that evil huh?

It all depends on the type of redirect.

As I understand it...
301 redirects work
302 redirects can cause havock with the search engines

Meta Refresh and Javascript refresh can hurt you in SE Rankings.
