hosting and search engine promotion

Hi,
If I am hosting several domains under one hosting account, will it affect my search engine promotion?

For example, if I am hosting sites A, B, C, and D under sub folders in domain A, will all the traffic of B,C and D , go to A.

So long as the sites are optimised/promoted sensibly, there is no reason that they shouldn't all attract their own traffic.

But there are some things you won't be able to do. The fact that you would only be allowed one DMOZ listing for the entire site would be enough to put me off doing this.

Then there is theming and credibility to consider ...
