pointing domain cause problems with Search Engines?

I have redesigned a clients web site leaving the domain with the original registrar (a major reputable one) and the site hosted elsewhere. Will this cause problems with search engines or other technical problems to have the domain on one host and the site on another?

in a word: no.
in a bunch of words: my labor of love site has always been hosted on a server that was in no way owned or even affiliated with the domain registrar. There's never been even a glimmer of a hint of a potential problem, let alone any real issue.
