The first test page uses pure CSS, but in the code the main content is about midway down the page after the navigation etc.
The second test page makes spare use of tables (just two) but the code manages to place the main content almost at the top of the page.
As an aside, I know the second test page that uses tables to place the conent near the top CAN be done using CSS alone. However for the way I want the page to function it cannot be done, or, rather, cannot be done easily for all browsers and browser versions.
From the point of view of search engine optimization which page might you think has the advantage in relation to its particular topic. Also, overall which page might be best to use and for what reasons?
