So link titles add usability to your site. They look kinda cool and are pretty much considered an alt tab for a text link. We know this but my question to everyone is do search engines consider link titles when ranking pages? If so, how important are they?..Should I do it to every link or just major links?..Thanks in advance for any feedback everyone :)

one of my site have link titles on all about 250 pages. no ranking effect on google at all but go up little on yahoo.

There's no reason not to. I use it on all my sites! I don't know if it helps rankings at all, but it certainly doesn't hurt.

Useful for the visually impaired...in IE, if you mouse over the link and remain motionless the link title will pop up...

If they don't really impact page ranking, they're just bloat, no? Are they worth the extra x% of bandwidth?
