Marketing an audio based site.

Getting good ranking with an online audio series?

Hello!
I have been creating a nutrition education website featuring short audio presentations. Although my audio content is coming along nicely, I am realising that its hard to get search engine recognition since they cannot spider audio and therefore see a site that appears to have very little content.

Any suggestions on how to blend educational audio clips into some sort of a search engine friendly site design concept would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks much!
Viking

Hello Viking and Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

Maybe you could set up specific pages for each of the main audio titles. On those specific pages, list a few "textual clips" as sales copy and what some might refer to as search engine fodder.

I'd take a few juicy pieces from each Audio and put it into a few paragraphs of targeted content. Maybe list some bullet points (features) of that particular piece of Audio. You've got a lot to work with, you just need to spark some creativity. That stuff happens around here all the time. ;)

P.S. You could even create an index page with links to all of your Audio textual snippets.

Additonally instead of just using snippets you could also make all of the information available in text fomrat as well. Killing two birds with one stone, its a big plus with regards to search engines and also with regards to accesability, though obviously more work.
