I am relative new to the webmaster world,
I have 2 domain names, original begins with photo and new one begins with foto, I am currently just forwarding the foto....com to photo....com.
The questions are:
Am I wasting the domain name foto... by just forwarding to the original domain or should I at least create an index page and try and get a few new keywords on this site.
I have seen sites that forward on but a good on Keywords, most of these seem to have the delayed forwarding, would I need to do that too, as currently it forwards automatically.
The other question is:
I have read that I cant duplicate content as google will ban for that.
Is it considered duplicating contents if I create a variety of displays of my contents for example, one page is by photographer, another page is by location etc, the photos are the same , just different ordering and display.

You should only use both domains for separate sites if you plan to make truly "separate" sites. Don't just use the 2nd domain to place a couple keywords and link to the other site -- it's useless for web surfers and for the search engines.

I think "penalize" would be a more accurate word than "ban".

Write some introductory text explaining how the content is organized on the page -- if the introductory text on each page is unique, you should be fine. Hard to really provide an answer without seeing the pages in question.
