Looks to me like it is. Just type in any number of prescription drugs and about half the listings are up there because of blog spamming.

Yes and no. MT has taken action and they either use a blacklist or the users must register before commenting. Many blog devs are following.

Blogging still works such that it's an easy way to get ranked however those sames sites continue to get banned.

For the SERPS that I watch, the number one website in Google and Yahoo has nearly all blog spam links. Blog spam appears to be working better than ever.
