I am new to SEO and can't seem to find anywhere the answer to this question. I have submitted my site to various search engines. Should i submit the same pages again or do i just need to submit them once. when i submitted to Goggle it only asked for the index page. should i do it say monthly. Is there an easy way to find my page ranking with google?

Any help appreciated

Hi Nutstretch and welcome to Webmasterworld! :)

You don't need to submit any pages to the most popular search engines today. All you need is a couple of decent inbound links and your site will be picked up.

There is no need to re-submit. Keep building those links - as a general rule the more links you have the more interested search engine spiders will be in your site.

As for finding your site in Google you can try and use the advanced settings, set the number of results to 100 and search for your domain name within the results pages.

Submitting once is ok. Google will go to any page that is linked to from the index page you submitted as well as any links on a page that is linked to by another site that google already trawls.

You can find your PR with google easily by downloading and installing the google toolbar.

You could also try this handy script - [cj-design.com...] - which will tell you when google trawls each page that it is included within.
