Should I register my domain through proxy?

Looking out for the future....

I am starting another site and will be linking it from my current site. They are somewhat related and I knew to put them on separate class Cs. I want these to be long term money makers so I was wondering if I should register the domain by proxy in case google starts looking at the whois and seeing I link to another site I own.

Am I being to cautious, what do you guys think?

If I were Google I would look at the domains registered by proxy first ;)

More seriously:
If you are worried about spamming and it's just this one domain maybe you could have someone else register it for you to make it look even cleaner.
