Which SEs are actually the same?

Hi,

I'm using an excellent SE utility (which I'm not allowed to make a plug for here) to keep track of my sites' rankings day by day on various search phrases and any SEs I prefer.

I have noticed that there's a similarity between a few, e.g. the results from Yahoo are almost identical to the results from AV.

I could perhaps find this out if I searched the web for a while and I hope you accept my apologies for taking a shortcut by asking here:

Which SEs are actually using the same databases and/or are co-operating in any form?

TIA
Dan

Certain search engines provide secondary results to other search engines. Look for a 'search engine relationship chart' (there are a few out there) and you'll see which search engines provide results to the others.
