Have been trying to promote a site using various SEO techniques that have worked well on other sites I've done but are having zero effect on this one. The only way I can find the site in G or Y is by using inurl:www.mysite.com

It will also come up when I use "long key word phrase" but not long key word phrase. Its not listed in the top 50 for anything, although I realise there are a few more competitors for this site it should be in there somewhere ...

I have a few links to it from other well ranking sites so I know its getting spidered. In fact most of the sites linking to it get listed before it does. The domain has been around for about 6 months with steadily increasing content.

Anything major I'm overlooking or any further suggestions would be appreciated.

It took me a long time to get my site to come up for my business name, without the quotes. Never mind it's related keywords. These days, most of my SE traffic (75%?) is to my content pages. As Brett has said before, home pages rarely rank well. It may just be a case of playing the waiting game. Six months is not that long.

Is it safe to assume that you've read Brett's work?
