Site Can't Be Found In Yahoo/Google after 4+ weeks

Hi guys,

For fun I created a new site which is nothing but a phpBB forum and I added it to Google and Yahoo over 4 weeks ago. But a search for the URL or title of the site returns absolutely nothing still. There are a number of posts too.

Any idea what is going on? I thought usually it takes only 2 weeks for your site to be indexed?

Do I need to resubmit them or are there other useful places to submit my site to that might help it get indexed?

Fastest way to get indexed is to have a site that is already being indexed link you you. Otherwise you have to wait for the bot to make its rounds, which can take a long time, especially Yahoo.

Can you give me an idea of how long that may be in weeks?

The best way to get a site indexed is to get a link from a site that is already indexed, and hopefully get a link from a page that frequently gets "freshbotted".

There is no other effective way to get indexed.

Took less than a week for me once I got a couple incoming links. Now googlebot drops by daily, Yahoo comes by too, but I am still waiting to be indexed there. Been little over a month now.
