Keywords in Domain Name

is it really "out"?

I've seen many an article published saying that keyword domain names are 'out' as far as SERPs go, but is this just wishful thinking to get all the spam out of there, or to hope more isn't produced?

With any website I've ever owned, typing in an exact match came up with my site, every time, so why should it be any different with key words? I'm just wondering what your experience is, thanks :)

Edit: And one last thing.. In your experience, do you find .com's rate better then .info's or .biz? Thanks.

keyword domains are still in the picture. I see rankings in Yahoo as well as Google...!
