Hello, perharps this is not the place to post this question but here I go:

I need to change one of my domain for a new one but I want to keep my deep links in google. For instance, I have [domain.com...] and this url is well indexed and with top position in google. Now I want to replace it for [NEWdomain.com...]
Am I going to loose my great spots in google replacing domains? Do I have a way to perform this and keep the placement? any ideas? thank you!

Welcome to Webmasterworld!

You have some very good questions there - this happens to many of us. The main action you should perform is to place a 301 (permanent) redirect at the old site and leave it there for as long as you can afford to do so. This points to the new site. If the new site/domain have the same structure, it will also help any pages that are indexed or deep-linked.

You need to try and get all your backlinks to point to the new site - not always practical.

Once the new site ranks higher than the old one (which should drop as the backlinks point to the new one), you have succeeded. It is highly likely that the new one will rank differently for different terms but might do better for some terms than the old one.
