Hi All.
My web site that I started a month ago has grown 20% per week in terms of daily visitors and daily page views. Its not listed in SEs and all I have is link from bCentral. I used Excel to project where I'll be at in two years from nor with this high weekly growth of 20% and the numbers were mind boggling. I couldn't believe it!

Is this 20% groth per week sustainable?

Can you Please Share:
What is your average weekly growth?
(Or specify your average monthly growth)

Don't blindly project optimistic trends forward - it won't happen.

More than likely, you traffic will reach a plateau shortly, limited by your current exposure. Once you show up in search engines, you'll see another surge in growth.

Thanks.
My current page views are at 4K/Day. My current goal is to get to 20K/Day. I spend 30 hrs/week on this site, working on SEO, link exchange, building optin list etc. With this kind of progress how long can I expect before I reach my target? Is 6 months a good target to achieve this? I ask this as I am very goal oriented and work based on goals. Just want to set myself a goal thats not unattainable.

Also, how do I monetize my opt-in list? I have about 1000 opt-ins on this high value IT/Management topic. I don't sell any thing and all my revenues are from PPCs.

Any advise appreciated.

I strongly second the comment about not projecting optimistic trends. I always do a:

Pessimistic
Realistic
Optimistic

projection for any of my clients or my sites. And even then, it's VERY hard to really guess what will go on. Sometimes things happen that are completely unexplainable or just plain weird.

For example, last month with all things remaining equal I sold 150 widgets...this month so far, i've sold 300 widgets....and haven't changed a thing..

Who knew? :)

Look at your industry leader's stats and divide that by a factor of 2 to 100 to project your page views.
