Can I force SE's to see redirected domain name?

I'm trying to determine whether it's possible to "trick" the SE's into seeing the domain name that points to a subdomain, instead of the name of subdomain itself.

Let me explain.

Several years ago, I purchased a domain name (www.domain1.com) from a registration service and hosted the site on Tripod.com. I configured the domain name to point to the Tripod site. Eventually the pop-ups got too annoying, so I bought space from a web hosting company. Their package included a domain name for the site (www.domain2.com). I used the new domain name to set up a totally unrelated site.

Now I'm hosting the original site in a subdomain of the new site (domain1.domain2.com) and configured the original domain name (www.domain1.com) to point to this subdomain. That all works fine.

Here's the problem. The site shows up on all the SE's as domain1.domain2.com. I'd like the SE's to find www.domain1.com instead of domain1.domain2.com

Can this be done?

Thanks
-Mark

My bet on this is that you can't do it by any means that aren't shady. A bot doesn't like to be tricked, and if they are, they get really mad when they find out about it!

Why not just put domain1 on it's on host? Hosts are so cheap these days! ($10 a month!)

Besides, you could link between the two (if they are on different class C's) and get credit for it!
