New in the field of web mastering (at least professionaly) i see some oxymoron schemes in trying to "read" the statistic results of the web sites i administer (at least try to).
Alexa among with Google is thought to have still many flaws and more enough to find in the future but,in a way.
Just for the sake of knowledge, why is alexa showing the graphical statistics in a way they cannot be processed?2 days ago i counted my site's clicks, which were about 240.yesterday i counted over 400 clicks (pure clicks through a statistic web programme).Hence, the Alexa prognostics and statistics found me "-45% on traffic" and lowering my site from the number 1 place on my preferred keyword "pontium" to number 11!today i checked again and i was 2nd!Is this a bug of the Alexa algorithm or i did something wrong?I checked it all, reciprocal links to my web, links of my site to others , even my php/asp/java and perl code but found nothing but the usuall! If anyone can try answering my questions please do so cause my job depends on it!

Alexa stats are based on visits to your site with those who have the Alexa tool bar installed and should be ignored (ie it is mostly webmasters who have the Alexa toolbar installed --> very biased sample).

Alexa is so easy to manipulate, just ignore it.

The Alexa traffic ranking has nothing to do with placement in search engines.

I think you don't neeed to see alexa ranking. It makes me laugh. I have a site for 1 year but the alexa ranking is lower than one of my new site which is launched for less than 1 week. The traffic of my old site is 25X than the new site.

..... EXACTLY - the Alexa ranking is meaningless
