Please be nice. I am a newbie. I am self taught. I have a few questions. I know you can help. Thanks in advance.
1: I use the attention spider text on the bottom of each page on my website. I have a linked word within that statement pointing to the same page. is this good to do? I use it to use speacil keywords that are located on that page and then link them to the same page.
2: I am using a one line robots.txt file and I am also using titles, attn spider statement and choice keywords. Do you have any suggestions on how to better increase my Page Rank?
3: How do I find out what my PR value is? Please elementary steps or document link would be appreciated.
4: how can I find out when google visits my website? Do I need to install software on my server and my computer? again docs would be helpful. I would like to know the who and whens.

It used to be good but now it's pretty much the opposite and you can actually hamper your chances doing so.

SE's are becoming much smarter in detecting sites that are trying too hard to get indexed high on SE's. The best thing you can do for PR is get good links off of other sites which the engines visit often

The most accurate way is via your log files. If you host allows this search for weblogexpert and download their free log viewer.

i read your questions and they seemed to be all about the gaining or PR from G. why not forget about PR and worry about toping the SERPs on all the search engines including G.
