My father used to say

Wrap a cowpie in cellophane and the public will buy it.
He was right, I give up.

Picking up on the Ag theme, take a bushel of corn (56lbs about 1.25 times as big as a peach basket). That is currently selling for $1.40 (down from $4.25 in 1996). I know a guy that goes to flea markets out in the LA area and sells sandwich baggies of "Real Iowa Corn" for $1 per bag (raw shell corn - no real edible value). He sells nearly a thousand a weekend. (I'd guess there are 100-150 in a bushel).

Next week, we discuss chocolate covered soybeans...mmmm tofu without all the fu!

Iwon isn't all that bad.

You are right, of course. Kudos to them, they knew people would surf for pennies. I have no gripe with the SE or its returns (still INK, right?), but the concept grates on me a bit.

Ya think? I am surprised. I gave up on them when they didn't update their database for a good 4 months. They had broken links everywhere in April.

Maybe I need to get them a second look.
