This really put me back in my seat seeing such a bright computer literate guy searching for a particular piece of info by using a single word broad term rather than two or three words to narrow the results. This has me thinking I should try to lure more people to my site using and concentrating more on the single term.
How do I raise myself higher in the search engines for a particular broad term, or should I say what is the most critical aspect, is it the term density, aging, inbound links, relevance, etc. I know many will respond back a combination of them all, but if I wanted to raise the hit percentage and move up the search engines what is the one most important? Any help as always is appreciated.
You would need to also broaden your focus to the subject. Then a combo of all the ranking factors; density, links, url, metas, alts, etc.
There will likely be more competition too, so in Google, be prepared to compete against higher PR sites.
