New to SEO

I am in the process of developing new sites for me and my friends.
The sites are related to fashion and music.
What should I do get it optimized and get top SE rankings and what re the best places ( properties/web sites ) to get this information.

a) Title
b) Keywords
c) Meta Tags
d) The sites do need Flash; how do I handle this.
e) Content or copywriting.

I know I am asking for everything but I will appreciate whatever little information I can get as I am a start up and do not have the means to pay till I get some business going.
