Do SE bots folow links in drop down menus?

I am rewriting all the important URLs of my site.
I don't really know if we also need to rewrite the URL in our drop down menu.
Note: It's a regular HTML drop down select menu.

Will SE bot, like googlebot look at those links?

I really need an answer to decide wether or not tell programmers to do that.

I don't know if they do or not but I do know that drop down boxes can help you with SEO. I rank for things that are in drop down boxes only. They are great to put lists of misspellings.
