Hi All,

Happy new year!

Does anyone know any tricks for marketing pages held within a password protected site? The content within the site is sensitive however we would still like to rank for the keywords and have the relevant pages displayed in the SERP's....when the user clicks on the serp's we would like them to be taken to a login/registration page.

We realise this could be done using claoking techniques however we are ethical SEM's and would not consdet this method.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Why would any search engine want to index information on pasword protected sites if, after the searcher has clicked on the search result, they can not get to it?

Is this a no brainer for the search engines.
