hi,
I am struggling with an issue, my company name is
"slogan"black widget travel and tours and i wish to have slogan: travel to "destination" on every page..now the site has around 2000 pages and as such it is a headache to link it all (using brett's theming strategy helps immensely though)..
Now the slogan has the country name and i was wondering if country name and travel on each page could trigger any penalization specially since slogan is not mentioned anywhere else in the page sometimes even "travel" as well... i could do a copyrighting and editing for all those 200 pages ( yes i have that resolve :-)) to include these terms but still scared if i do something wrong.

From a long term perspective as brett pointed out in 26 steps i feel this is an important issue and the presence of a keyword in the slogan is great that way.only that some se's may not hummoured.
kindly advise
thanks
niko

I think that in this case it comes down to how long the site has been online and the credibility it has built up over time, ie. whether or not Google sees it as an 'authority site'.

I have one site which repeats a certain 3 word phrase in the title and it wasn't dented by Florida, but it has been going for nearly 4 years and is well established. I then released a new site with a similar 2 word phrase 2 weeks before Florida and got nailed by the filter.

Bottom line ... nobody has empirical evidence to show what is really going on, there are very different schools of thought. Best bet is to read up plenty, ask questions and test it out on a smaller scale. Just my 2 cents ...
