Solaris rewrite? dynamic URLs --> search engine friendly URLs

Dynamic URL Issues on Sun Solaris

I am trying to have the pages on a client's dynamic Web site indexed by the search engines in a manner similar to the mod_rewrite for Apache, except the urls I am hoping to have indexed are on a sun Solaris server that features jsp pages.
Can someone let me know if there are any threads that focus on this (I couldn't find any), or if there are any Web resources/new ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome to webmasterworld.

As far as what your asking, for the topic of the forum it wouldn't matter which one you use as spiders are aware of /url or subdomains.

Subdomains are nice and easy to move to an alternate server if you get busier than a single server can handle.
