Why is HotBot so busy?

I used to see hotbot maybe once or twice a year, i now it it 2-3 times a day - almost following right up begind googlebot.

Is Hotbot trying to get into the current index game?

I would see it once a month. I'm now getting hotbot visits daily..

funny thing is i don't see my site in the index that hotbot uses. Maybe they're working on a busy build.

Does anyone have a link to alternate hotbot servers that may be pointing to a newer index?

Still yet to see anything from altavista!
