Acceptable ratio

Hi,

It is quite difficult to find some information to know if a ratio is good or not.
I have:
- The number of keywords use in the meta-tag compare to the number of keywords used by internet user to go to my website
(7% of the keywords in the meta tag are used to find the website)
- The number of visiors brought by the keywords in meta tag represent 11 % of all the visitors
85% of the keywords used in the meta tag do not allow our site to be in the top100.

How bad this ratio are? Extremly bad, very bad, ....

I vote for extremly bad!

Please note that most modern Search Engines do not take META keywordsinto consideration. So you should spend your efforts elsewhere, like writing extensive content about those keywords.

I agree with you, but the keywords meta tag is still a good place to sumarize all the important keywords we want to use in a page. Useless for some search engine, usefull for other, but for the webmaster, it is still a good place to see for each page what are the keywords to focus on.
