I have been fairly successful at Goodle Ad words and Overture paid inclusions - at least from the perspective of getting them to my site. My problem is once people click to my site, only about 5% stick around to become actual sales leads. Is this an acceptable %?

I have a fairly specific list of keywords, so people that land on my page have a fairly good idea what they are going to see.

Is there any help on getting people to stick around? Are there any consultants that can help with this?

There is and there are.

A bit of searching here for the term "sticky" or "stickyness" should yield some good reading.

LC, in my niche 5% would be OK.

I suggest you work on "pre-qualifying" ad terms to set the intent. An example here: [webmasterworld.com...]
