Welcome to WebmasterWorld Josecito,

If you are worried about using the same template for all your pages but with different content, then stop worrying. A lot of sites use templates and it is fine.

It is the content that is the most important part. Duplicate content is the problem, not duplicate html.

Though I am not 100% sure I understand since you used the word "doorways".

if i use the same words ill get penalized?

ill use the same link in all my pages, but just change a few words...

the title and H1 are not equal in all my pages, but most of the other text are the same it will be a problem?

thanks again

If most of the words are the same you will run into a problem.

content - the words you use on the page for the person and the search engine to read.

Yes the content must be different, how different is another question all together.

No, I don't.

you would be better to add new and original content. It is a lot of work but it is much more valuable to your site.

Josecito, if it is Google's duplicate content filter you are concerned about, even one identical paragraph on a page is enough to trip the duplicate content filter.

Best bet, is to actually write the content yourself. It doesn't have to be pages long, even a page with 3-5 decent paragraphs is enough to make it work.

Here are some threads to give you some ideas on the kinds of things you can write about to add content to your site.

Layout does not affect the duplicate content filter, it is the actual worded content itself that trips it.

You have to add unique content, it's easy to find. Otherwise it's a waste of time.

Because the rest of the content would be the same, I believe it would still trip to duplicate content filter. You are better off not adding any additional pages at all, than just adding a little bit extra to the end of a page, to make a "new" one. With Google's duplicate content filter, it doesn't neccessarily remove the newest page. It could remove your best page of the entire site from the index, with the filter.

Also think about our visitors - if it is a commerce site, your first consideration should be their user experience. If they find multiple pages of articles with only "new content at the end of the page", they will quickly leave your page and head to your competitor's site instead.

If you don't want to write more content yourself, why don't you hire someone to do it for you?

one question about how the bot crawl the page..

when i have an table like

¦ <a href="Key_1">Key 1</a> ¦¦
<a href="Key_2">Key 2</a> ¦¦
<a href="Key_3">Key 3</a> ¦¦
<a href="Key_4">Key 4</a> ¦

in all my pages, google found that i have just ONE duplicate content? or 4?

btw

if i use the same code but in one line like

¦ <a href="Key_1">Key 1</a> ¦¦ <a href="Key_2">Key 2</a> ¦¦ <a href="Key_3">Key 3</a> ¦¦ <a href="Key_4">Key 4</a> ¦

google will say that i just have one duplicate content?

understand? :D

It does not look at the actual coding to determine duplicate content, otherwise many of the templated sites would be out of the serps for that reason. It is the actual content words it looks at.
