Do I get any bonus for linking to relevant content?

Just wondering whether it's worth duplicating some of the content I link to from my sites on to my sites as opposed to just linking to another site with said content.
Obviously it's better to have the content on my site but is there any advantage to me linking out to the content? Thanks Chris

Not much value from a search engine stand point, but it may be beneficial to your users.
