is it possible that .info domains are less relevant to google than .com domains?

.COM isn't treated any differently to .INFO as far as I'm aware - it's a level playing field for top-level domains where search engines are concerned, although the end user may favour one over another.

All Domain TLD's are equal. No difference. Just that .com is the MOST POPULAR.
