Let's say you set up an agreement with an ezine that they metion you in their newsletter in retuns for a commission.

Ho can you or they prove the referrals you get from them?

You could set up a unique entry url for the ezine or you could give them a url like: www.yoursite.com?nameofezine - this will then show up in your logs.

If you're looking to track the sales you could try issuing a voucher number - low tech, but it works - like: "quote nameofezine414 when ordering to take advantage of our special service for nameofezine customers".
