I've only been in the SEO game for a few months now. The site I finished 3 weeks ago is now #2 in one keyword search, and top 30 in 4 others. This just happened today.
My question is.. what now?
What can I do to get those top 30 results into the top 10?
Should I create more optimized pages for each search term, or tweak the index page a little?
Will google automatically move my listing up the SERPs over time as the site becomes more popular with searchers?
Should I focus on PR and work a link campaign to get more quality links to my site? I've currently only got 4 backlinks listed on google, however there are close to 100 sites out there linking to me. PR0 listed as of right now.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
THANK YOU WEBMASTERWORLD!

Most of those others are probably internal pages.

Definitely create more content pages. As the site grows so will the instances of internal anchor text and you'll also diversify and make the site richer and better for visitors. Watch your referrals and look for additional keyword opportunities to target, then build pages around those. You'll see which ones draw more traffic - relative to the position they're in and learn to strategize for further site development.

PR0 means nothing right now with a new site, or even new pages. Just focus on rankings. And it does take a while for backlinks to show - some never will, not all do.

Continue to do more of the same and also pay some attention to Inktomi. Not only did Yahoo buy Inktomi, but MSN can bring some good traffic that converts nicely.
Thanks!

No, they are all from the index page. Pretty much exceeded my expectations being in the top30 across 5 keywords.

On Inktomi, I'm ranked 8th in one keyword that is relative to my domain. Otherwise I'm nowhere to be found. No matter what I've tried, I can't get my rankings to budge in the MSN searches. Could this be because I am not in the Looksmart directory? Any suggestions there?
For Inktomi at MSN you just pick out the keywords and phrases that don't have a lot of the paid listings before them so there's some chance of being visible. Target the best of those.
For PPC, if that's what you want to do, you'll find broader coverage than LS by going with Overture, since their distribution is considerably wider.
