Full URLs for internal links

Some SEO benefit?

I think I recall reading somewhere that writing out the full URL for internal links within a site has some benefit for SEO. Is this true? Does it have other benefits?

kiril - The full links are called "absolute" links or urls. The shorter ones are called "relative."

You might want to try to following search on Google:

absolute relative links site:webmasterworld.com

Typically I put relative links throughout my web pages, and then for the text based navigation at bottom of screen (ie "Home, About Us, Contact Us, Products", etc) I put absolute links. This is in case the relative links in the graphical menus are causing a problem, there are always absolutes to keep things spidering.
