Hi All,

My site was uploaded a week back and has abt10-15 incoming links frm sites which enjoy pretty good traffic. all these link to my main index page. of course i have also submitted the url to all major search engines. however ;its abt 10 days since the site was launched today ; only the index page has been indexed by google, msn and the lot

the site is a dynamic one , dont have session ids but do have? in the individual pages. We have built a pretty detailed sitemap though so the spiders can reach all the pages in the website. Is the indexing not occuring due to the site being dynamic or m i hoping for too much too soon especially since only 10 days have passed since the launch.

Incidentally i m recving a neat number of page views everyday considering that only traffic comes frmo word of mouth and links.

So what do i do? HELP! and thnx

How many variables are in each URL string?

Dynamic sites do get indexed, but it seems that the more variables per URL the more time it takes to get indexed (unless your PR is quite high).

Just my $0.02

It will take longer for your dynamic site to get spidered, and the dynamic pages may not rank as well. What to do:

1) Keep the query string as short as possible
2) Better: convert your dynamic URLs to static format with mod rewrite or other method
3) Regardless of what you do with your URLs, keep building site PR - that will speed up spidering and improve rankings
