Submission Strategy: Listed in dmoz but still not in directory

Will SE find the site in this situation? Submit in the meantime?

I've submited a site to dmoz.
Is actually listed in dmoz (editors told that it will be included in a particular category)but still not in public directory.
If if perform a search in dmoz.org I see the result, but If I click on the category link showed in result link is broken.

so they say the site will be properly placed in directory soon, but the question is:

Will other search engines find the site in actual situation?
Should I wait until website is definitively included or may I submit to other search engines and directories in the meantime?

I think that submitting after being listed in dmoz is more effective but I don't want to waint so long...

What do you say

Hi, silverbytes. Perhaps a mod will move this to the "directories" forum. In any case, it's likely your problem is due to the current upgrades going on at DMOZ. If your site has been added to its category by an editor, it should just be a matter of waiting until DMOZ is back to normal. Or maybe better than normal. The good news is that is sounds like you are past the major hurdle - getting reviewed.

Thank you! But my question is still there... do I have to wait until dmoz .... or not?

Go ahead and submit to other directories. For a newly launched site, getting as much linkage as possible is essential. Hunt for non-directory links, too.

SE submittals are far less necessary now. Once you establish linkage, the major SEs will find you. Certainly, go ahead and submit if you like, but I'd spend my time on improving my inbound linkage. Don't wait for DMOZ, it will take care of itself sooner or later.

Let dmoz updates be completed and within some time you will see your links in Google Directory also coz Google Directory is powered by the ODP RDF Dump.

Keep up the submissions to directories like Zeal and Yahoo (Paid or unpaid) depends on the category....
