pop-up links followed?

does the OnClick trick work?

Want to open content in pop up windows (almost HAVE to) but want the content to be available to SE's.

I searched the past messages, and found a neat trick that seems to work... on the face of it:

< a href="url.html" Onclick="javascript:popup('url.html');return false>

Tedster, I believe the person's name was, the one who posted this first. He seemed to be seeing good results.. But then again, this was a couple of years ago.

When I use this, if I mouseover the text, the status bar just says "url.html" not the function name etc like it did before.

Will Google follow the link?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As long as there is a href="url.html" it should be indexed.
