Hi Everyone, this is my first post here!

My site is growing very slow, and I would like to boost its traffic! Search Engines may be the best way to do so for my site! I am listed in google, but not very high! Not on domz and I applied it! I have see Lycos (FAST) and HotBot (Inktomi) and BCentral all offering great seach engine submissions! I would like to join them to increase my traffic!

Bcentral is the most expensive one ($79), and many people hate microsoft! But it claim it can get into almost all search engines (incluidng those on FAST and Inktomi)

positiontech.com offer FAST and Inktomi. It seems positiontech is a very good! One is $34 and one is $39. Should I go for both of them or just one would be fine?

Thank you for all suggestions!

Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

Getting your site some exposure via search engines you have basically 3 options:
- free indexing
- pay for inclusion
- paid advertizing (PPC), as per Overture, Google and some others

Only the last of those options gives you direct control over the position of your listing. It can be very effective for commercial sites.
Pay for Inclusion (PFI) as well as free indexing is something you'll need to do some work. Just getting into the index doesn't mean you will have a good ranking.

With INK and Fast - I would strongly recommend to take a good look at where your listings will get exposure, which countries and on which portals.
Both INK and Fast (now Overture owned) index almost all sites with good backlinks for free.

So what I'd be looking into is a dual strategy:
- improve your site's search engine frindliness, get more good links to the site, do some SEO

- to get started fast consider PPC, as with Overture, Espotting, and Google adwords.

We have dedicated forums for all mentioned engines and topics here, where you will get all the information and help you need.
