Hi all,
This is real basic stuff and i apologise in advance. I have 2 websites they are a mirror of each other ( I use one to test new pages before puting them on the main site) one has been listed on google if i search for the full url for a while all I have ever done is submitted the url to google, however i have submitted the url of the second site a few times over the last 6 months but even if i search for the url then google wont list it. I admit the site is in early stages and needs alot of work doing to it, but i would have hoped to have it listed on google by its url?

What could be wrong?

Cheers in advance

Welcome to Webmasterworld [webmasterworld.com]

am I right in assuming that (site A) which is listed in Google has backlinks from other sites.

whilst (site B - test site) has NO incoming links and you are basing your listing purely on your own submission to Google?

other than that DUPLICATE penalty could be possible!

It is NOT advisable to have mirror sites where BOTH are spiderable in my opinion, you are asking for trouble.
