Hi,

I tried to find information about how to manage its domain names, without real success so far.
Here are the conclusions I came up with so far :

Let's say that I own the domain name www.site.com. This site is selling products in different countries :

1) Use of subdomain names for all the countries :
example : fr.site.com, uk.site.com, etc ....

=>upside: All these site will then share the same PR.
=>downside: We don't get the benefit of link popularity from the main domain name and the other subdomain names.

2) Use of other domain name for specific campaigns (example : www.xxx.com), increasing the domain name (and subdomain names) link popularity.

=> upside : easy to setup and to optimize for SE and we get PR from the main domain name linking to these campaigns.
=> downside : For each new campaign, need to get links from other sites to these campaigns to increase their link popularity.

I would welcome all you comment on this topic.

Cheers,
Manu

Subdomains don't share the same pr, they are treated as different websites...aren't they?

That's why www.foobar.com and foobar.com ussually have different PRs.
